Unlike many competing offerings, SurSITE is based on a completely modern Microsoft technology platform. Microsoft Windows, SQL Server 2008, and the .Net Framework are the foundation of the server software. The system provides a web-based user interface and supports integration via XML web services. SurSITE’s reporting and analysis can be augmented by Microsoft Office 2007 applications (e.g., Excel 2007) to create very flexible reporting and research capabilities.
